For grantmakers & foundations

Strengthen every grantee. See the impact of your support.

Capacity building for your entire grantee portfolio. Coaching, technical assistance and peer cohorts that reach every grantee, not just the few who get a consultant. Grantees finish real work, and you see the results without adding reporting burden.

Capacity strengthening

Capacity building your grantees lead.

Resilia is capacity building — many funders now say capacity strengthening — built on what your grantees already do well. The nonprofit chooses its priorities and its coach. You fund the access and see the progress they choose to share.

The challenge

What funders tell us — and what we do about it.

What funders tell us, and Resilia's answer
You saidWe do
“Our capacity budget only reaches a few grantees.”Platform and self-service reach the whole portfolio. Coaching, cohorts and practitioner TA go deep where it counts.
“Workshops don’t stick.”Every cohort ends with finished work, and coaches and peers keep it moving afterward.
“We can’t show our board what capacity building produced.”A portfolio view of participation, progress and grantee-shared outcomes.
“We don’t want to burden grantees.”No new forms. Grantees share what’s already in their workspace.
“Managing many TA contracts is a lot.”One partner and one agreement for coaching, training, cohorts and platform.
“We practice trust-based philanthropy but still need to learn.”Grantees decide what to share, so what you see is candid.

How we’re different

How is Resilia different from hiring consultants for grantees?

Hiring consultants reaches the few grantees with time to scope a project and ends with the contract. Resilia reaches every grantee through the platform and self-service, adds cohorts and coaching where they’re wanted, and keeps support going after each project — with no new reporting.

“The Boston Foundation has really benefited from working with Resilia… we’re able to get aggregate information and learn — without taxing nonprofit leaders’ time and energy — what organizations are dealing with and where they need support. That helps inform our grantmaking. Resilia’s coaches are both effective and in tune with the needs of historically under-resourced nonprofits and, most importantly, center care for the people in this work.”

Senior Program Officer, Learning & Engagement, The Boston Foundation

Trust-based by design

Trust-based philanthropy you can actually see.

Grantees own their data and decide what to share. That’s why what you see is honest. You’ll never get scores or rankings of your grantees from us — you’ll get their real progress, in their words.

Budget

What does portfolio capacity building cost?

Platform access is a flat fee starting around $30,000 a year for unlimited grantees, every grantee on the Pro tier. Sponsored cohort seats add $2,000–$6,000 per grantee before volume discounts, and coaching $200–$500 per session for grantees who want depth.

Because access reaches everyone and deep support goes where it’s needed, the cost per grantee reached is a fraction of a consultant-per-grantee model.

Equity & reach

Built for the organizations capacity building often misses.

Small, Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC)-led and culturally specific organizations — often the least likely to get a consultant — get the same coaching, peers and tools. The Boston Foundation describes our coaches as “in tune with the needs of historically under-resourced nonprofits.”

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much time does this take my team?

Very little. After a kickoff call, we handle grantee invitations, matching, scheduling and quality. Most program officers check the portfolio view monthly and join a quarterly review.

What do grantees see vs. what we see?

Grantees see and own everything in their workspace. You see whether sponsored seats are active, program participation, and any progress or impact stories each grantee chooses to share with you.

Can we bring our existing consultants?

Yes. Consultants can work with your grantees on Resilia, keep their methodology, and start with context already loaded. See how consultants work with Resilia.

How fast can we launch?

Grantee invitations can go out within weeks of signing. Cohort start dates depend on the program calendar.

Can unused funds roll over?

We set this in your agreement. Tell us how your grant cycles work and we’ll structure it to fit.

How do you report to our board?

With a portfolio summary of participation, finished work and grantee-shared outcomes, plus stories and evidence-based impact narratives you can use with permission. No rankings or scores of individual grantees.
